Tara Nahabetian

Tara Nahabetian is head of the Metals/Jewelry program at SUNY Buffalo State.  She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University in 1992.  Then studied at the University of Michigan with Hiroko Sato Pijanowski from 1992-1994 as post-undergraduate study. She received her Masters of Fine Arts from Kent State University in 1997.

 

Along with exhibiting nationally, Nahabetian’s artwork can be found published in “The Compendium Finale of Contemporary Jewellery”, by Darling Publications in Munich, Germany, as well as, a series of Lark Book Publications “Fabulous Jewelry from Found Objects”, “1000 Rings” and “500 Metal Vessels”.  Her work is on display in the permanent collections of Grand Valley State University and Bowling Green State University.
